IU Turns to Boyfriend Lee Jong Suk for Help when Her Acting Doesn’t Go Well
IU revealed that she asks her boyfriend, Lee Jong Suk, for help when her acting doesn't go as planned.
In an interview ahead of the release of the movie "Dream" directed by Lee Byung Heon, IU was asked if she shares her acting worries with her boyfriend who is also in the same profession.
IU replied, "Since we have the same job, we naturally talk about acting. When there are times when I really don't know what to do before shooting, I sometimes ask my boyfriend for SOS."
IU and Lee Jong Suk made headlines on January 1, 2023, when they confirmed their romantic relationship. The interview that day was also the first time IU met reporters after going public with her relationship.
Although questions about her relationship may have been a little burdensome, IU referred to Lee Jong Suk as her "boyfriend" and responded naturally.
IU also revealed that she invited Lee Jong Suk to the VIP screening of the movie, which will be held on April 24th. She said, "Since it hasn't been released yet, I don't know how people will react to my acting."
"Dream" is IU's debut film. Due to COVID-19, filming was suspended, and her second film "Broker" was released to the public first. However, "Dream" is the first feature film that IU starred in, so she has a special attachment to it.
IU said, "It's a movie that I worked on for about three years. Although 'Broker' was released first, this is my first feature film, so the fact that it is being released itself has a significant meaning, and I am excited and looking forward to it."
"Dream" is a movie about former soccer player Hong Dae (Park Seo Joon) and passionless PD So Min (IU) challenging impossible dreams with homeless national team players. The movie will be released on April 26th.
