“I Hate Taylor Swift” – Taylor Swift unsettles Trump?

The series of consecutive public attacks against Taylor Swift conducted by Trump, started when she urged Americans to vote for Kamala Harris on her Instagram account. The singer believes that Ms. Harris is a warrior fighting for the rights and causes.  








Within just five days, Trump continuously targeted Taylor Swift. 








A few hours after Taylor announced her support for Harris, Trump warned that the “Fortnite” hitmaker could face consequences for choosing the Democratic Party and opposing him.


























By September 13, Trump had released a parody version of the T-shirt sold during Taylor Swift's global The Eras Tour as campaign merchandise. The design closely replicates the layout, colors, and fonts of the original, with the only differences being Trump's photo replacing Taylor's and the altered text on the shirt.








Taylor Swift's fans were outraged by this copyright infringement and condemned Trump for targeting a young woman over her political views, despite his age.








Trump's behavior has displeased many, including Scooter Braun, the music producer who previously had a dispute with the “Country Music Princess”. On September 15, Braun posted a screenshot of Trump’s message on his Instagram Story with the caption: “Stop it, Donald”.















In 2019, Scooter Braun acquired Big Machine Records, the label Taylor had worked with, for $300 million. This acquisition granted Braun ownership of the master recordings of Taylor's songs from 2006 to 2017.








At the time, Taylor expressed her sadness on Tumblr, stating that her original recordings had been sold to Braun. “Scooter has stripped away the lifetime of work I put into my music, which I didn’t have the opportunity to buy back. Essentially, my musical legacy is about to be in the hands of someone who tried to destroy it”, Taylor wrote.








Regarding the dispute between Braun and Taylor, on February 11, Trump criticized the singer for being ungrateful on Truth Social. He pointed out that during his presidency (2017-2021), he signed and supported the Music Modernization Act to aid Taylor's career and that of other artists.








With this act, Taylor initiated re-recording her first six studio albums to diminish the value of the old recordings now owned by Braun. By doing so, she regained ownership of her lyrics, voice, and albums, using the original names with the addition of “Taylor's Version”.








For this reason, Trump found it puzzling that Taylor supported Biden instead of remaining loyal to him.















Taylor Swift did not comment on Trump's dislike towards her. On September 15, she smiled and cheered for her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, at the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals.








Meanwhile, some opinions suggest that Trump may be unsettled by Taylor Swift's fame and influence. Her lack of support for the real estate billionaire could cost him significant votes and potentially alter the outcome, given the notably large Swiftie community. For evidence, a spokesperson for the U.S. The General Services Administration told CNBC that Taylor Swift's Instagram post supporting Vice President Kamala Harris drove at least 337,826 visits to Vote.gov, the U.S. government website that provides specific voting information for each state.
