Jung Hae-in Confronts Jung So-min’s Secret: Where Will the ‘Childhood Friends’ Relationship Head?

On September 15th, ahead of episode 10, tvN’s weekend drama “Love Next Door” (directed by Yoo Je-won, written by Shin Ha-eun, produced by Studio Dragon and The Modori) released still-cut of Choi Seung-hyo (played by Jung Hae-in) and Bae Seok-ryu (played by Jung So-min) meeting by the seaside, where they confront an unbelievable and unspeakable secret.








In the previous episode, Bae Seok-ryu’s hidden past was unveiled. After receiving a cancer diagnosis, she underwent surgery and treatment, but also suffered from depression, which forced her to quit her job and call off her engagement. Her painful story evoked sympathy. Bae Seok-ryu, still burdened by her unresolved wounds, rejected both Choi Seung-hyo’s confession and Song Hyun-jun’s (played by Han Joon-woo) proposal. However, after accidentally discovering her hospital diagnosis, Choi Seung-hyo learns about her battle with cancer, bringing a new development to their relationship.















The newly released photos capture Bae Seok-ryu, who has gone to the sea alone, much like she did during her school days, and Choi Seung-hyo, who seems to have come to find her. Above all, attention is drawn to the image of them drenched in seawater, exchanging words filled with resentment and anger. Even after Choi Seung-hyo learns the secret, Bae Seok-ryu forces a smile, though she looks on the verge of tears. In the preview, she cried out, “You don’t know anything, you don’t know my feelings!” What is the ‘feeling’ that Bae Seok-ryu has been suppressing?








In episode 10, airing today (15th), the story of Hye-ryeong-dong family and friends will unfold as they come to learn Bae Seok-ryu’s secret. Each will express their love and regret for Bae Seok-ryu in their own way, after she endured such cold and painful times alone, much like the bitter Siberian winds. However, they will share warm comfort together once again, delivering a touching emotional experience.
